In-Office Teeth Whitening
In-office whitening is a procedure that consists of four 15 minute sessions under a UV light. The dental professional will provide this service and ensure your comfort and most importantly your safety during the procedure.
How long does whitening last?
The results will depend on your lifestyle. If you are drinking and eating liquids and foods that stain your teeth, your results are not going to last as long as someone who does not. Some people chose to purchase take home whitening trays in addition to the in-office whitening. With this additional treatment, you perform touch-ups at home as required for teeth staining.
What are the requirements before getting in-office whitening?
All patients must be up to date with their dental cleanings and checkups. If you have not been seen by a dentist in the last 12 months, we would recommend that you follow up with your General Dentist to ensure that there are no concerns with your oral health prior to the whitening treatment.
Does in-office teeth whitening hurt?
Some patients may experience some slight sensitivity however, as long as you have good oral health and no existing dental concerns the treatment should be easy and painless. It is recommended to take an Ibuprofen 1 hour prior to your appointment to help ensure little to no sensitivity.
